Healthy America 2030 is a regional and national group of political, academic and civil society actors, agile, interconnected and mobilizing, focused on improving health and its determinants for the human and economic development of the region, with a view to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (SDG).
This community was created with the challenge of generating exchanges, sharing experiences, tools and actions that allow health policies to be strengthened and improved.
The initiative America Saludable 2030 was launched in December 2020 by CLAS (Coalition for Americas’ Health), the International Union against Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases, and Senator Guido Girardi during a virtual seminar of political actors. They discussed the food systems in Latin America and the Caribbean and their connection to the health of the planet, and the financing of the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases.
