The World Health Organization has launched a consultation process to develop a 2022-2030 action plan to implement the global strategy to reduce the harmful use of alcohol. The first draft of the action plan was presented in July 2021 and space was opened for an online consultation on it.
CLAS presented recommendations to the first draft with the aim of protecting the Action Plan from interference by the alcohol industry, particularly taking into account the implications that this may have for the development of actions in Latin America.
