Every five years the Pan American Sanitary Conference is held to determine general policies of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).

This year, within the framework of said Conference, CLAS together with Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, Corporate Accountability, ASH Action on Smoking and Health, Movendi International and NCD Alliance, presented a statement on item 4.3 of the provisional agenda “Policy for Recovering Progress on the Sustainable Development Goals with Equity through Measures that Address the Social Determinants of Health and Intersectoral Work.” The aforementioned statement was read at the meeting by Angélica María Claro (Movendi International/CLAS).
