The Stop Tobacco Pollution Alliance (STPA), a coalition of organizations behind the global movement to align plastics policies with tobacco control, of which CLAS is a part, has published an article in the New York Times titled “Uncovering the Truths Behind the Tobacco Industry´s Deception”. The article seeks to shed light on the aggravating role of cigarette filters in cancer and ocean pollution, as well as the tobacco industry’s deceptive tactics to hide the truth.
